John Laporta Jazz Educator of The Year!

Diaz Music Institute’s Founder and Artistic Director, Jose Antonio Diaz wins John Laporta Jazz Educator of  The Year! This award is named after a legendary jazz educator who served as a distinguished professor at Berklee College of Music for more than three decades. It is offered in conjunction with the Jazz Education Network (JEN) organization—presented at the upcoming national JEN conference in Louisville, KY and re-presented at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival (HSJF) in Boston, MA.
